Cairo Amman Bank announced its main sponsorship of the “Zaytoun Biladi” Festival held at Icon Mall from 12 to 16 November, organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. The festival celebrates the olive harvest season and highlights the banking sector’s role in supporting Palestinian heritage and empowering small business owners.
The festival aims to bring the spirit of the authentic Palestinian village into the mall by creating an environment inspired by the traditional “Housh Baladi.” This includes wooden heritage kiosks and artistic elements such as burlap, pottery, olive branches, and warm décor that immerse visitors in a rich and enjoyable cultural experience. A total of 20 kiosks have been prepared for participants, all designed in the style of old Palestinian villages, with engraved wooden signs bearing the exhibitors’ names and artwork inspired by their products.
The festival features more than 20 participants offering products inspired by the olive tree and Palestinian olive oil, including: extra virgin olive oil, traditional soap, heritage foods, handicrafts, accessories, ornaments, and other local products.
A Variety of Activities and Experiences for Visitors
The festival offers a range of interactive activities for all audiences, including:
- An olive oil tasting corner featuring different varieties and flavors.
- A children’s corner for coloring and crafting olive-tree-inspired shapes.
- An interactive photo booth with a large olive tree model—one of the key attractions—promoted by Cairo Amman Bank and Icon Mall.
- Promotional gifts and special magnets featuring partner names.
Perfect Timing with the National Olive Season
The festival is held in early November, coinciding with the end of the olive harvest—one of the most important seasons for Palestinian families. This timing allows visitors to taste and purchase olive-based products and learn the stories of the small business owners behind them.
The exhibition is organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in appreciation of its cultural value and its role in strengthening national identity and local craftsmanship, in line with official efforts to support sustainability and elevate the status of Palestinian products.

Cairo Amman Bank’s sponsorship of the festival aligns with its ongoing commitment to supporting heritage, cultural, and community-focused activities that contribute to empowering the local economy.
